Dj blurb: “survey of the use of watercolour in England from the sixteenth century to the time of Cotman, Cox, and De Wint…The main emphasis is on landscape, topography, and figure drawing, but the book-illustrators, marine watercolourists, natural history draughtsmen, portraitists and caricaturists are also included.”
